Key Responsibilities
• Manage all day-to-day accounting operations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records
• Handle revenue reconciliation from Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and partners
• Monitor receivables, payables, and cash flow
• Prepare and process payments, invoices, and receipts
• Perform bank and revenue reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with Tanzanian tax laws and regulatory requirements
• Prepare and submit tax returns (VAT, PAYE, corporate tax, withholding tax, etc.)
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Coordinate internal and external audits
• Support management with financial insights and reporting
Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA (T), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting (experience in telecom, digital services, or Mobile VAS industry is an added advantage)
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations
• Experience in revenue reconciliation and high-volume transaction environments
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• High level of integrity and attention to detail
